Client feedback and testimonials ProSea asks all participants to fill out an anonymous evaluation after all courses. ProSea then tabulates these evaluations and uses them to improve the course. ProSea has taken some comments from these evaluation forms and listed them here. Some of the comments have been translated. In addition, some clients have shown their appreciation in other manners. BP Shipping nominated the ProSea custom-tailored marine awareness course for the 2007 Thor Heyerdahl Environmental Award, for which ProSea was short listed. NYK Line Europe invited ProSea to apply for the NYK CSR awards in 2007 and 2008. ProSea received a NYK CSR award in 2007. Feedback from shipping courses: Feedback from shipping courses: General comments: Only by coming to the course do you realize how little you know about the subject. Bring this stuff to other parts of the world!!! Good for general environmental consciousness. Try to make this course mandatory at shipping academies, preferable before they have an internship aboard, to make them more aware. Level +++ by involved/motivated people. Stretch the program out over more days, then there will be more opportunities and more time for the discussions and presentations (4x) Very good presentation which is eye opening Good for general environmental awareness ProSea Approach (method): Excellent use of external expertise – thought this delivered the key messages in the best way possible. Most of them (presentations/demonstrations) very high standard + excellent presenters – easy to listen and very interesting. Good to have such a diverse group from all aspects of shipping/marine expertise. Enlightened by different views. Presentations were very good, nice to have open participation and discussions, overall managed will to within allocated timelines. Presentaters were knowledgeable on their specific subjects. Café meetings were very interesting due to share of information and ideas I have learned an awful lot on this course, not only from the presenters but also from the other delegates. Listening to others and students to hear what are the issues is great really interesting subject, well presented, good interactive sessions and mix of media Excellent overview of the issues/challenges with very knowledgeable and engaging presenters I like the interactive aspect of it – because it is better, less boring Responsibility/Awareness: It will be an almost impossible job to change the whole world but I applaud the approach ProSea stands for and in due time they will have a considerable impact on shipping, I’m sure Very good – I had limited knowledge on the subject and this has given me an appetite to find out more. It’s good to hear from the experts . . . I felt that I learnt a lot and found it extremely interesting and it certainly opened my eyes. I will certainly pass on what I have learnt whenever I get the opportunity There were very interesting presentations, I have learned a lot and became much more aware about what shipping does to the environment. I think that you achieved your goal of “awareness”. One does start to reflect upon the issues.
