Program Partners
The original marine awareness course was created through a partnership between educational and scientific institutes, a governmental organization, an NGO and a private association. The Dutch government, Ecomare (center for wadden and North Sea), NIOZ (Royal Netherlands Institute of Sea Research), the North Sea Foundation and the Dutch Ship Owner’s Association cooperated to develop and produce the first Marine Environment Course.
ProSea, marine education foundation, grew out of this cooperation.
ProSea considers this idea of cooperation between diverse stakeholders a key aspect to the ProSea approach and ProSea works with a wide range of partners to organize and deliver marine awareness courses. The program partners include: national and international governmental and regulatory organizations, maritime sector and supporting sectors, fishing sector, NGOs, educational organizations, teaching academies, and scientific organizations.
The list of program partners is divided by course/workshop content. The partners are listed alphabetically under each content category.
